DESIGN PROCESS FOR BUILDING PROJECTS IN WISCONSIN

Clients come to a design-build project with varying degrees of expertise and levels of expectation. Badgerland Buildings, Inc. partners with the client, utilizing the most current means and ideas, to bring to life what their building project dream is. We build your dream into reality.

Within all of our design-build projects is a design process. The design process typically involves four stages, though this can vary depending on the size of the project.

  • Concept Development: Based on initial discussions with the clients about their needs and desires, broad concepts are presented to give a sense of the look and feel of the project.
  • Preliminary Design: At this stage structural and/or architectural changes will be addressed, refined and agreed upon. Two and three dimensional drawings of the building exterior, floor and site layouts, and optional multi-view computer renderings are generated to help the client to visualize what their building is going to look like.
  • Bid Documents: With the agreement of the preliminary design, further drawings and product type can be formulated and specified. The selection of systems and materials to conserve natural resources and the client’s resources and energies are incorporated into this portion of the design stage. Firm building project estimates are generated during this phase.
  • Construction Documents: Once a formal agreement is in place, detailed drawings and specifications are finalized to begin the permit and construction phases of the design-build process. Badgerland Buildings, Inc. works with a select group of specialists and suppliers – or with the client’s nominated professionals – to ensure that the finished project is of the highest quality and faithful to the designs the client has approved.
